Remeber how when there was a fight for gay marriage a good portion of people said they didnt mind the legal concept and just wanted to call it "civil unions" and we totally did that as a first step to placate those people before going full on equal marriage...

I wonder why the approach to trans rights has been so all or nothing with people It seems like there is no real desire for progress from eithet side the way things stand now.

Have you checked out https://trash-guides.info/

I found it to be the most helpful guide out there for understanding the ARRs and should answer most of your questions.

I find that overly sensitive people are generally not worth my time, If someone cant get over the use of gender neutral pronouns, they are looking for a reason to be offended, the issue isnt the person using gender neutral pronouns. You can't just change other people's vocabulary because it might be offensive to someone. Its the same with people who don't like cussing, that's their fucking problem not mine.

Its true, some people are super sensitive and look for reasons to be offended, its best to just avoid them rather then placate that type of person. Its not really about pronoun usage.

Is Dd not an option? I dont get why every distro need their own usb image writer when dd and ventoy already exist.

It seems we've come full circle with "copying is not theft"... I have to admit I'm really not against the technology in general, but the people who are currently in control of it are all just the absolute worst people who are the least deserving of control over such a thing.

Is it hypocritical to think there should be rules for corporations that dont apply to real people? Like why is it the other way around and I can go to jail or get a fine for sharing the wrong files but some company does it and they just say its for the "common good" and they "couldnt make money if they had to follow the laws" and they get a fucking pass?

I used soundiiz, it costs $5 a month but i really just needed it the one month. I exported to a csv and then downloaded it all using tidal-dl and streamrip. You can import/export across a bunch of different serciservices.

I agree, but the 40gb limit on my phones "unlimited" plan seem to disagree with reality, as does the $30 per 500gb comcast would charge me if i use over 1.2tb....

Not saying it isnt false advertising, but its how a lot of internet service providers choose to advertise things these days.

It sounds like they banned you for excessive usage. They allow at least 1tb a month because ive used that amount regularly with them.

It is a bit misleading for them to be calling it "unlimited" tho
