The best time to plant a tree is ten years ago. The second best time is now. There's no perfect path and hindsight is 20/20. There's a reason there are so many cliches for this feeling, but you gotta focus on what you've done right and where it's gotten you since.

This depends entirely on the type of tape it is. There's plenty of ripstop tech in packing tapes now and adhesives that are stronger than the boxes they're bound to, both of which make a mess if you try to tear in a straight line.

My bad, I only looked at the community name, not the instance.

No, I'm gonna look at real people.

Who is she?

Very helpful, thank you!

Ahh that's interesting, so the issue is as much having a conveniently shifting position as it is a further-right-than-progressives static position. Thanks a ton, that helps me understand a lot!

Gotcha, so it means fake leftists almost? Does it imply someone is even further right than a current "centrist"? Or more like, "the center is right wing at this point, and so much so that even the Dems who are just left of center are still on the right [but therefore less than centrists still]"? This is not meant to be obstinate, your response was just very helpful and I want to bracket in on where folks consider liberals to be on the political spectrum so I can understand/use it properly.

For the longest time, "liberal" seemed like it basically just meant "Democrat" the same way "conservative" has/had been used to mean "Republican." Now, it seems like it means "bad Democrat" and is even worse than being MAGA the way many seem to use it. Where did its use as an insult within the [relative] political left come from, and what does it specifically accuse/identify someone of/as?

I've seen people searching for reviews/experiences with Seiko's USA service center in Saddle River, NJ, so I thought I'd post mine here. Had a great experience with unreasonably quick turnaround.

I sent in an SPB383 that was less than a year old because I was only getting one hour out of the power reserve after taking it off (though it kept great time while wearing it). It was delivered to the office on 12/26, but the maintenance center was closed from Christmas Eve through 1/2. I got an email the afternoon of 1/3 saying it was with a specialist for repair, and they'd be servicing/replacing the whole movement, replacing seals, water/pressure testing it, cleaning it, and testing the new movement.

It was shipped 36 hours later and arrived in Chicago 48 hours after that on 1/6. Four days start to finish once they opened the package, which they did on the very next workday after it was delivered, though they also mentioned that could take up to 7 days after delivery, so I did get somewhat lucky there.

As for function, the bezel feels brand new again with new seals and lubricants, and the watch is running -3 spd after 72 hours without resetting. My previous Seiko's have sped up a little as the movements and lubricants have broken in, so I'll be curious to see if it gets even more accurate over the next month.

Everything was covered under warranty, and they even shipped the watch back in a sweet cushioned zip-up travel box/case that I'll definitely be using in the future. I've read some horror stories and definitely cannot discount those, but figured I'd put my own experience out there too.

This has been going on since I joined months ago, so I don't think it's a recent update thing.

Anyway, if I click on a post of a news article or something, and then within that article click to a second (and third or fourth etc.) page for more information, when I then click the "back" button on my Android, it returns me all the way back to the app rather than to my previous page online. I'd love if it worked like in a standard browser and just brought me back one page rather than closing the browser window.

Seiko's first automatic GMT diver in the Prospex line, released in June (I think), just received today. Some beautiful details, particularly the ceramic bezel and the alternating polished and brushed facets on the case and lugs. And before anyone asks, the alignment is perfect :)
