Make a big "uh oh" hole

Ngl, this post really doesn't send a good message. Is it true for some people? Probably

But my parents pushed me into 3 days of tafe, 2 days of uni, and 2 days of work a week when I was younger. It caused me to crash and burn

It honestly makes people who are already doing a lot feel like they have to do more to make up for what their parents have given up for them, and that's just unhealthy

I had to move away from that mindset, and something like this really wouldn't have helped

I've installed Linux mint about a month ago and it's been great. The only real problem that stops me from moving everything over is:

I can't properly play small untranslated Japanese games that aren't on steam

To be clear, I can run them just fine, it's just that the translator I used (VN Translator Neo) can't be run on Linux. When I run it using wine, the window just goes black

I've tried a few other image-based translators, but they all either don't run or don't detect the game in wine

If anybody has a workaround (besides dual booting windows) I'd be very grateful

I don't know about you, but (to me at least) "chubby" occupies a very small area of bmi just before and after the point where somebody is considered overweight

To be clear, I also believe in chubby girl supremacy, and believe we should bow down to our chubby queens

Me, trying to figure out how trying to stop people taking a highly addictive drug that meets none of our needs is control over our body:

I agree they're partially at fault, but to deny the part the company played by creating artificial FOMO, sales, and gates is barbaric to say the least

It needs more regulation, I agree. Particularly for premium currencies (which thankfully the EU seems to be doing something about)

I had an argument with a guy who was in a shared friend's discord server about this. He was adamant that, if somebody spent too much money on a game, then it was all their fault. Despite me going over several (clearly manipulative) tactics, all he said was that people who fell for these must be stupid and that they deserved it

Yeah later on he was kicked because of other (Similarly dickish) reasons

You need to be caught with enough that you cannot feasibly use yourself. Having two or three vapes is not enough to be prosecuted. The fact that the individual sells needs to be proven beyond a reasonable doubt

This is a blanket statement that doesn't really mean anything

  1. It is highly unlikely one study would do this (purposefully put their patients in danger)

  2. It is even more unlikely that this study would continue without being retracted

  3. It is unfathomably unlikely that all other studies on the matter would do the same thing and agree on the results

I guess the biggest problem here is that I never mentioned a specific study, and neither did you.

If you want a good report on the matter, check out: National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine; Health and Medicine Division; Board on Population Health and Public Health Practice; Committee on the Review of the Health Effects of Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems; Eaton DL, Kwan LY, Stratton K, editors. Public Health Consequences of E-Cigarettes. Washington (DC): National Academies Press (US); 2018 Jan 23. 5, Toxicology of E-Cigarette Constituents. Available from: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK507184/

An interesting exert from it is the following:

Compounds not listed on labels also have been identified in e-liquids. Several hazardous compounds have been found in liquids and in the heated aerosol produced by e-cigarettes, including formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, and acrolein, which are known carcinogenic toxicants.

Edit: ah yes, the classic "I can't think of any way to rebuke what they said so I'm just going to downvote them because I can't add anything meaningful to the discussion, but I'm still convinced I'm right"

The point is that you're unable to buy, but you're not punished for buying. Instead, the seller is punished for selling

It stops the law from punching down on the addicts being taken advantage of (mostly)

Is this what the kids call "liminal spaces" nowadays?

When I wake up I'm really dehydrated, so a cup of electrolytes is surprisingly helpful

They also taste good
