can I put this thing in a laptop or is it made for a bigger computer like a desktop?

"but behaved more submissively towards players with a male voice" I want to know what they mean by submissive

I see a lot of people saying online that "forums are dying off because of discord and reddit"

yet other people reply: "Well, I'm still using my forum/IRC."

So I have to ask, what forums that are decently big still exist? Only one I can think of is Nomutantsallowed for fallout related content.

I mean it sure would do more than pretending it's not happening - but I get it - most Germans preferred to pretend they couldn't smell the smoke either.

_

I'm a minority. Comparing someone to Nazi citizens ignoring the Jewish population getting murdered is a tone deaf thing to say.

_

And again you don't even have to risk your own safety by protesting - you could at least join a local community organizing group to help people most affected.

_

I've donated and I have severe pain that makes me unable to be outside for more than a few hours. I don't know what more I could reasonably do without injury.

_

I'm sure you may think one person can't make a difference but I can guarantee that even a single person more that's helping out with mutual aid would be met with appreciation anywhere. Still good on you for financing charities - that is usually the very first step.

_

Thank you.

_

Also this isn't a sprint - it's a marathon - expecting protests now to have any immediate impact is just setting you up for failure - these fights have been fought for generations - so lock in and get ready to resist not just these 4 but the next 40 years.

_

I don't expect protests to have results because peaceful protesting isn't taken seriously. The problem with protesting is how the government weaponized it against people and how blatantly evil they are. There's videos in the BLM riots of cops shooting up the court house of people watching the riots and the law said they were perfectly fine to do so.

I don't really think protesting works because modern America doesn't need to hide how corrupt it is anymore. There's corruption so bad the LAPD police department keeps trying to edit it out of Wikipedia. I had a similar conversation with someone xenophobic on Reddit who kept chastising "All Americans because they're responsible" when I did everything correct. Told my friends to vote for her. Organized meetups which was very insanely hard to do in Florida because of my back issues, and people still didn't give a shit.

I don't really know what else I'm expected to do when most of it doesn't work.

_

And sorry if this feels overwhelming and you don't think you have the capacity - but even doing 1 day of volunteering a month is a good starting point.

_

I think this is true to an extent. I think everyone should talk about injustices but it's significantly harder in the modern world where most people make a game out of how many trans people they can make miserable or how many minorities they can offend. It's incredibly demoralizing and I left reddit primarily because I kept getting blamed for "inaction" at the election when I did everything right, but that still wasn't good enough. I get what you mean, really, I do. But it's a lot harder to make a difference especially when your country is actively erasing your rights and other people similar around you don't seem to give a shit.

The United States is not going to magically get better because one singular person in Florida disagrees with everything.

every peaceful protest against this is illegally broken up and police regularly beat protesters half to death with zero repercussions, the current president calls protesters terrorists and regularly muses about having judges thrown in jail, the supreme court has pretty much admitted they can do whatever they want and every single one of them is public about them being bought out.

the original comment was saying how depressing the news cycle is and I commented how I deal with it. this isn't a lala land where people can suddenly change everything. this is exactly how the government is going to be for the next four years so I don't understand the point of pretending anyone, let alone a lower middle class person living psycheck to psycheck has any effect over it.

feel free to tell me in detail what you've done protest wise this week if you don't agree and has had a substantial impact. I've donated to a few charities that are struggling with food and supply issues in my area and they've been appreciative of it but that's currently all I can do.

i just filter out the larger news instances and go about my day. it's been pleasant besides the occasional "NINE MILLION PEOPLE WERE TELEPORTED INSTANTLY TO A VOLCANO" level of insanity stories like this one. least that's one easy thing that reddit can't do.

how do I explode them with period cramps suddenly why is a spambot messaging me lmao

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask but I need more general recommendations.

I posted a few weeks ago about how I didn't feel like quitting reddit just yet. and, honestly, I still have a hard time not opening my phone every five minutes to check it.

but I decided to quit because I realized how much of a negative echo chamber it was. I couldn't even mute certain words on the reddit app so I had to keep seeing the same shit over and over again in the popular feed.

it'll be a long road moving from one platform to another, but I'm pretty satisfied not being strangled by reddit's overwhelming snark and negativity.

dunno if anyone here feels a similar way, but felt like sharing my thoughts.

good morning! what do you plan to do today?

been looking for more useful apps so figured I'd ask.
