Unless your 8 year old knows how to smoke weed, or decarb it, and cook it into fats, that weed isn't going to do anything to them. Like literally.

I mean, it probably had an impact, but even the 1/4 pounder with cheese meal at mcdonalds is 12 dollars here

Well, this is a solid admission that they are going to use deep fakes to influence elections.

The second amendment was written so that there would be militias, who could act quickly, in spread-out, often frontier locations, in case of foreign incursion, giving the military proper time to respond.

I did this some months back. It didn't hit me until I looked at the time, from across the room, to see how close I was getting to needing to leave. It then struck me, I can read the clock from across the room...

"Texas is a coping mechanism disguised as a state" gonna be stealing that quote

If I walk into a woman's apartment, and one of the first things I see is something like "can't handle me at worst", and I <3 Dylan, posters I am probably going to end the pursuit of this relationship. I would do this because I have seen this common thread with people who do this. That common thread is that they have personality disorders, or are otherwise unstable. Pattern recognition is a survival instinct. Pattern recognition can be wrong, but this isn't seeing faces in wood grain. This is seeing aspects of people's personalities that they, themselves, value to the point where they spent money to display it on their wall.

Beyond this specific situation, you know how many times I have seen "it's just memes" turn into "I am now in favor of an ethno state"? The average person to white supremacist/whatever pipeline created by the social influence of fora for "it's just memes/jokes" is real, I have watched it happen. Feel disaffected from society? Well I am here to ease you into the idea that it isn't your fault, it is the fault of women, and brown people, starting with some casual jokes, and memes.

I mean if you want to knit pick a joke, at least be that pedantic with your own comment

Yeah, I really just try to disengage with campists these days. Honestly authoritarian leftists are soooo few where I am from, they aren't even worth really giving consideration to the problems I am facing. They are only a thing in online spaces like Lemmy. They are all "LOL, brainwashed imperialist. You cited an academic paper? It's not from Zhengzhou? Ha, it's just imperialist lies. I don't have to engage with the data on any real, academic level, because LOL not from China!" The best is when someone asks them WTF they are supposed to do when they shit on all efforts for change, and they imply you are complicit because you have yet to instigate revolutionary violence, when they have never been in a fight, let alone fucking killed someone.

The small, actual, leftist movement here tends to run anti-authority, I am far more concerned with them. It is fun to talk shit though.

Yes, they are staunch campists, so I have tried to disengage them.

Yes I have seen cowpee, and others, disregard any information from any western organization, government, university, etc. Then, when someone did the same with information coming from china, cow said they were clearly to immature to have a rational, good faith, argument.

Western media is just propaganda, doesn't mean everything they say is wrong. Same goes for the media branches of the CCP.
