The director did not make Dune for your TV, they made it for a theater.

  1. Learn why aspect ratios exist
  2. Watch TV shows or Made for TV movies if you want content formatted for your TV
  3. Crop and zoom if you want a sub-par experience if "bigger is better" for you

Next thing you'll want is 120fps movies. Truly, learn why aspect and FPS is important, and you may appreciate them more.

 

Why YSK: New apps are springing up everywhere, and if you're on a tablet, two column views are helpful.
