Everyday I learn of another 3rd party app for reddit which I didn’t knew existed. It shows how big reddit has become over the years and how spez has screwed over sooooo many people with that decision.

He doesn’t care. All he wants is the IPO to cash out.

Nice try. I’ve seen TV shows. This is to get into the C.I.A. workframe mastercode :)

Seriously tho, where do I put this?

Yeah, some people are reaaaalllyy into the fediverse. It's okay tho

I agree that kbin is less buggy. However there’s something in the user interface that confuses me a little, mostly with the way pictures are placed in the feeds.

But it’s more polished and theres a great "feel" to it. Can’t wait to see where it goes.

At first it was

"You only need one account, it's like an email, they all federate with each other"

I was reeeaally excited for the prospect. (I still am btw)

But now it's more like

"your account here can see that instance and that one too -- but it's buggy so sometimes it takes time to sync -- anyway you cannot see that one for that one you need a distinct account-- oh and if that instance decide to defederate then you'll need another account for there too".

I'm still into the Fediverse, it's just we still have things to figure out.

I selected it by default in my settings, but it keeps going back to "Local"

How is Beehaw defederating from lemmy.world and sh.itjust.works for whatever reason is not like exactly like what Reddit is doing to third party apps? You want to federate with us? Sure, but you have to play by OUR rules. That’s not how it should work. You don't get to cherry pick on instances based on some political views. Either you federate with all, or you don't federate at all and you're just your own website.

Edit: your/you're

I'm all in for this hobby. For years now I've been messing around with emulation, but now I'm thinking about building the 486 computer I dreamed of when I was a little boy.

Is it me or people on eBay are overpricing their stuff?! Like.. "Here's literal garbage, haven't tested it, no guarantees, that'll be 300$. Oh and by the way you're gonna get screwed again with shipping costs." Sigh...

I feel like there's no way to get into the hobby unless you either break the bank or you know someone who's got spares to give away or sell.
