I'm actually not sure how federated lemmy hasn't already been destroyed. Wouldn't it just take one bad actor to start spamming all the other instances with nonsence? If you deferate with the instance the bots are coming from they can just open another, right? Like a DDOS attack
That would mean gathering enough support to do it from people that got where they are because of it. It seems impossible.

Yeah, every time a stock is down a 100 "analysts" come pouring out of the woodworks and gives a 100 different reasons for why. I find it more likely that the reason Tesla is doing worse is that the EV market is just way more competitive than before (but I don't know, that is my point). Like you say, Elon has been saying polarizing shit the entire time. I don't think common consumers care about that. Something else must have changed.
Well said. I switched to Mint on my laptop recently and just the serenity of not being pestered by the OS constantly fills me with contentment. Also, the fan was running constantly due to Windows background processes before and now it is silent unless I'm doing heavy work. Feels good.
