I used to make my own, and enjoyed it immensely. Making it every few weeks. Then I tried this stuff, and i couldn’t believe how much better than my home made stuff it was!! I’ve never looked back. Its quicker and better than anything I can easily make.

Takes barely 10 minutes for a restaurant quality ramen at home, if I grill up veggies and throw in a left over protein.

Not only news saturation, but a corruption saturation. The people that would hold the office of the presidency accountable, Congress, have abdicated their role. This is another reason why we need more than 2 parties; if a strong man takes over the leading party, there aren’t anymore checks and balances.

There are plenty of physically strong looking actresses, WTF did they get that soft looking lady who doesn’t even come off as ‘real’ or believable when she’s trying to act ‘bad ass’?

My issue with the casting for season 2 is Abby is supposed to be strong. She spent 5 years after her father died, pounding protein and lifting weights, practicing martial arts, living and breathing vengeance for her father’s murderer… and in the game she looks it.

The casting, though? Some super petite brunette who looks cute. But… ok, ok, looks of an actor don’t make the character, so we’ll see what she does and if the story and her acting shines through.

I also had the same issue with the Martian Marine from The Expanse, not only was she not strong looking… her acting wasn’t believable.

I’m 1 episode shy of finishing Frieren, I’m really enjoying it, and I’m somewhere around like %80-90 done with Dragon Ball Super. They’re both good, but I’m binging DBS just to get it done with for the first time. It’s not the more magical anime that I like these days, like Frieren or isekai stuff are.

Other stuff we’re watching together, instead of me just filling my own time? Rewatching The Handmaid’s Tale, because of the current political climate we’re in here in the US, and watching the latest seasons of The White Lotus and The Last of Us. My GF was especially heart broken about this last episode of TLoU. She hadn’t played the game.

I got the DMC HD collection, and am about to finish DMC 1. It’s not terrible, and it’s just like I remember it from back in the day.

My habit of ‘wanting to %100 a game until the grind bores me and I quit’ hasn’t kicked in just yet, but it got me this last year on new games I was dying to play; FFVII:R2, Forspoken, BG3, and DA:V. So, we’ll see if I can keep my head in the game on this one.

In THT, extremist Christian groups in the US stage a paramilitary take over of the government, by attacking Congress, the SCOTUS, and presidency all at once. Once that’s complete, they instill their own leaders and turn the US into a Christian state. This began with an unexplained severe drop in birth rates globally, and growing unrest around it in the beginning stages.

Once the take over is complete ‘fertile women’ are rounded up and assigned to families of power, wearing these red outfits and being named ‘Handmaids’. They’re raped once a month during peak fertility in the hopes of getting pregnant. Once they give birth the children are given to the family that was raping them, and the handmaid is moved to another powerful family to assist them in having more children, too.

They have no rights, anyone not part of the Christian in group is hunted and slaughtered. ‘Fertile women’ are raped monthly, and if they speak out their eyes are plucked out, their hands and limbs are cut off, etc. A brood mare* doesn’t need limbs or eyes to give birth…

Edit: additionally, women are stripped of all rights and are assigned to home keeping roles. Can’t vote, can’t work, can’t own property or have their own money. This is a sticking point for a woman who is married to a primary staff leader of the new regime, who actively participated in the creation of the movement and then is stripped of her voice within the group.
