Honestly, I read the books over 8 years ago, so I forget a lot of the smaller details. This makes it enjoyable to watch because I both know what will happen in terms of major plot points, but am discovering things moment by moment as well. When I was reading the series I kept thinking it would make a great show.
The TV version gets the atmosphere right, but has to sacrifice some of the pacing to make it work for the length of a season/episode.
Having read the books, you'll probably be pleased with the way the next season plays out.
I was wondering when they would bring in the before times part of the story and an happy to see that part of the mystery is going to be revealed.
Years ago, when I lived in Boston, a realtor company mistakenly sent me a letter meant for my landlord. It said something like, "rentals are lucrative and prices keep rising! You should maximize your yearly lease price increases to make more money."
The brokers get a full months rent fee in Boston just for showing the apartment, so this was really infuriating.
The Murderbot series is pretty easy to get into and has some decent space adventure.
Also, I enjoyed the Silo series, which is now a good show on Apple.
I have to agree. I've tried 2 episodes and don't get it. Seems like a hallow, generic soap opera and devoid of any of the clever comedy of Schur's other projects.

The cells need to come from somewhere, so animals will still be exploited regardless. From what I've read, the growth medium and lab production is far from sustainable. I also don't have the most confidence in the meat industry and wouldn't put it past them to lie about factory meat being lab grown. If we're doing fine with tofu and other alternative proteins, why do vegans need to bother with this stuff?

I'm vegan for the animals, the environment, and my health. Most vegans have left leaning values and care a great deal about the greater good. Your assumptions are based off common stereotypes.
Also, I'm sure 99.9% of murders are done by meat eaters.
