About 10 years ago, I bought a ridiculously large bag of dried shiitakes online. I'm almost to the end of the bag now lol. Over the years, I learned to skip the step of soaking the shrooms in hot water if they were being added to soups or anything liquidy enough that was also being heated. So just throw them into your bowl of ramen before adding water and cooking, that way you get the extra flavor and save some time and energy

A tortilla throw blanket. This purchase has brought me so much joy, and it's super soft and comfy and looks hilarious when you're being a lazy couch burrito. I've been thinking about getting a baguette pillow to keep the food theme going lol

I read that book actually for a class in a small university, and I highly recommend it to anyone. Did not know the author was a Harvard professor.

Have you looked into shoe inserts that essentially reduce the size of the shoe interior? My friend has extremely small feet and faces a similar problem of not finding shoes that are small enough, and I think she's had some luck with the inserts

I really want to try uni someday! I've yet to see it on the menu where I live

Goat cheese, lamb/mutton, truffle and any kind of mushroom, spicy foods

Once I had this dark chocolate with chile pepper and pop rocks in it, no one else wanted to try it but I really liked it

There are many tube worms that do have digestive tracts, but I assume you are talking about chemosymbiotic tube worms that are found in methane seeps and hydrothermal vents. These guys essentially live in farts (hydrogen sulfide, methane), which their symbionts use for chemosynthesis.

I've only have wild boar jerky before and it was pretty tasty, but you gotta get the meat tested first bc they can carry some serious diseases.

Sorta fun fact from my organizmal bio teacher: the reason you never hear about pork being cooking medium rare is that we are fairly closely related to pigs and so we are susceptible to many of the diseases that can infect pigs.

I took that stuff too (aka accutane). Severest depression I've ever experienced but I'm thankful to only get the occasional acne as an adult now.

I'm unfortunately not there physically to help, but my mom has this light switch she needs to remove temporarily and replace the plate. Her "handyman" installed it 'brand new' within the past few years. I told her it looked like it was from the 80s haha. Anyways, she apparently cannot remove the knob for the life of her, shouldn't the knob be able to simply pull off without breaking?

It's on everything, my fingernails are glued to my skin underneath, I hate everything and most of all I hate spray foam.

Thanks for letting me rant. I normally read instructions before using a product and now I'm avoiding the room where it's on everything... How fucked am I?

Update: We've cleaned most of it up from the room... Our hands, not so much lol. I appreciate the advice and support, hopefully y'all got a good laugh on our behalf :)

Ps. It works great as a diy wax for hairy arms!

I woke up and all I see are memes about trouts
