Well I could start by explaining that I, as a Chilean citizen, am subjected to a legal framework which was built upon a constitution which was made by the people of a ruler that was put in power through a CIA Operation during the administration of Richard Nixon. This constitution, while slightly modified, is still the Chilean constitution.
Enslavement is a very nuanced thing, not a boolean variable. There are many ways in which one may be and not be a slave, but yeah, legal framework is a pretty big part of that.

They control or exert influence over several "neutral" "peace keeping" organizations such as the united nations, the world bank and several other very official very serious and neutral sock puppets. They are, however, in the imperial stage of late decadence, and have become obsessed with food, sex, fame, and all other kinds of hedonism we're familiar with, leaving the values of the old in the past, now considered lies only suckers or evil men subscribe to.
You may not believe me, but I actually like them. Lived there when I was a kid. If it wasn't them enslaving my country and by extension myself, it would be some other empire (like China or Russia).
