Nice notetaking app with powerful features!
Main question for me: Can you export plain markdown from the application (or Docker Volume) or is everything only accessible through the application?
I don't want to manually export my stuff if I want to switch note application sometime in the future

Yes, a reverse proxy can fix this issue.
Go for the AllinOne (AIO) Installation! Had huge performance issues first (Nextcloudpi Docker & normal Nextcloud Docker) and none with the current install.
You get a self servicing (updates/installation/etc.) docker install with backups and administration portal.
Borgbase with Borgmatic (Borg) as the Software. As far as I know the whole Borgbase Service is from a Homelab guy (with our needs in mind).
