And just found this from the FAQ on the announcement page:

I do not have a Plex Pass, but stream remotely from a Plex Media Server:

To stream remotely starting on April 29, 2025, you will need a Remote Watch Pass or Plex Pass subscription on your account or the admin of the Plex Media Server from which you stream will need a Plex Pass subscription on their account.

I found this elsewhere and it seems to clear up the issue, for me at least:

The new “Remote Watch Pass” is primarily for users who stream from servers owned by individuals without a Plex Pass. For example, if your friend runs a Plex server but doesn’t subscribe to Plex Pass, their remote users will need a Remote Watch Pass to continue streaming after the changes take effect. Because you have a Plex Pass, your remote users will continue to be able to stream from your server remotely without needing to purchase the remote access pass.

Nice article! I've been using Audiobookshelf (win) for a year and a bit. Works great with one exception, I can't upgrade it past 2.17.16 on my Win11 box (non-docker). Any attempt to take it past that gives a non-responsive server. Not a big deal because that version is pretty stable.

"University of Alberta is researching how to utilize coal to feed livestock. However, the animals wouldn’t technically be eating coal, instead the research team collects methanol from the coal being burned and then mixes it and dries it with bacteria protein.

“We can produce a higher quality product without having to make those trade-offs, while helping the environment,” said Mark Lawley, researcher at Cvictus Fermentation Group.

Lawley says it’s perfect for a carbon capture site, seeing it as a greener alternative."

"Campers Village first opened in 1963 in Edmonton as a storefront for Northwest Tent & Awning, which since 1921 had been selling and manufacturing supplies and basic shelter for settlers new to Alberta via their factory on Jasper Avenue in downtown Edmonton."

As camping became more popular, the company evolved to offer recreational supplies. In 2021, it rebranded as Breathe Outdoors “to promote the many benefits of getting outside, exploring, trying something new and taking a moment to simply breathe outdoors.”

Ontario’s premier, the leader of Canada’s most populous province, announced that effective Monday his province is charging 25% more for electricity to 1.5 million Americans in response to U.S. President Donald Trump’s trade war.

"... the impact on Minnesota if Canadian potash fertilizer gets caught up in the trade war. “If it starts with this, the one that I’m really worried about is potash, when it comes behind it. If they do potash, that’s a big one on agriculture,” he said."

Ah, thanks! I should have reloaded and checked again... And thanks for the welcome too!

Concerns are mounting as the number of measles cases in Canada continues to rise. In Quebec, the current outbreak has grown to 31 cases. Pediatric infectious diseases expert at the Montreal Children's Hospital, Dr. Earl Rubin, joins Global News Morning’s host Laura Casella with more.

The warning applies to people who were at the Canadiens-Sabres game between 5:30 p.m. and midnight, in red sections 111 to 117, as well as employees of Tim Hortons and Pizza Pizza stands at the Bell Centre.

“Measles contacts who are not protected against this disease are recommended to isolate themselves at home until March 17 inclusive,” public health said in a statement on Monday.

Polls have opened in Greenland for early parliamentary elections Tuesday as U.S. President Donald Trump seeks control of the strategic Arctic island.

The self-governing region of Denmark is home to 56,000 people, most from Indigenous Inuit backgrounds, and occupies a strategic North Atlantic location.

So Measles is a thing again?

"The outbreak could include the first cases of measles in Alberta this year, according to the latest data.

As of Monday evening, three people in the same household were confirmed to have contracted the virus, according to Little Red River Cree Nation Chief Conroy Sewepagaham. "

EDIT: for link inclusion, sorry, new workflow for me :)

'morning! I'm in. Though I scrubbed my reddit content back in the 'strike' my eyeballs still regularly contributed to their site. I guess I'm stopping that now too. Small steps, as they say. Looking forward it.
