Reminds me of a storyline in Guild Wars 2 (spoilers ahead):

HUGE Guild Wars 2 living world season 4 (?) spoilerOne major antagonist named Joko is a lich, meaning he is kinda unkillable. During the story he is eaten by a major character, a dragon named Aurene. This ensures that he is truly dead. Earlier in the story he already died once and resurrected.

Later on Aurene even resurrects using his power because she ate him.
