The only streak that's EVER benefitted me was the one for my diary app (highly recommend Daylio) though I think if you didn't buy it before it's on a subscription model now... Like everything else. Don't pay a subscription for your diary!

Lemmy.ml is acting as a proxy instance for Hexbear and should be defederated by any instances that defederate from Hexbear in c/fediverse@lemmy.world

I'm all for defederating Hexbear, but lemmy.ml is absolutely huge compared to Hexbear. To motivate the community to do that you'd need quite a bit of proof. Or at least something rather compelling. Do you have any proof of what you're referring to?

Open the drawer, if using drawer navigation or the bottom bar if using bottom bar navigation and tap explore, then you'll see subscribed and local are options, you can tap the three dots next to each to make it the default.

I just created a second instance of Lemmy, can I move my original account over from my first? (lemmy.world)
 

I've created two 2 instances and am admin of both. I'd like to transfer my account across or at least federate with all my subscriptions. It would take me all day to find all those communities again.

Has anyone compiled Lemmy on a Raspberry pi? (lemmy.world)
 

I'm using a Raspberry pi 3 and attempting to compile Lemmy. It's been frozen since about 10am eastern time. I'm hoping it'll finish overnight.

Do you have any experience running Lemmy on a pi? I'd love to hear your stories.

If I toggle it on and off it'll actually stay off for a day or two but it always comes back. I'm on a Galaxy S20 Android 13 I believe.

It's been sitting here frozen like this for a really long time, hours actually. I'm trying to install Lemmy on my raspberry pi. The terminal hasn't moved at all in hours, but the mouse will nudge a little after like a minute of lag. Is it frozen in a broken way? Or should I just try and leave it for the night?

I've been trying to setup a personal Lemmy instance for better control over federation, but I've run in to many error messages, most of I solved on my own but here's this one...

soullioness@raspberrypi:~ $ docker-compose up -d ERROR: yaml.constructor.ConstructorError: while constructing a mapping in "./docker-compose.yml", line 36, column 12 found unhashable key in "./docker-compose.yml", line 36, column 13

I can't for the life of me figure this out. I can't find any helpful info online either.

Edit: I'm using a raspberry pi 3 I'm sure there is more info I'm forgetting just let me know.
