I did. Like... What the fuck has America done for the world in the past 50 years it didn't immediately obliterate the karma of 10 seconds later by deepthroating lobbyists or invading a country?

And its not like the people are any better. The entire country is filled with people who take claim for the good things of others while rejecting people doing actions they disagree with. Like 2% of the country actually does shit and everyone else coasts on that. When confronted about why, they will blame every single thing under the fucking sun except themselves. It can't possibly be because barely half of Americans voted and STAGGERINGLY fewer ever engaged in the process outside of casting a single ballot every 4 years. No. It has to be because of propaganda (that every country has) or work issues (which every country has) or some other egotistical garbage that is so insanely self centered that the person seems to forget that America isn't unique.

America has never had to accept responsibility for anything that it has ever done on the world stage and that mentality bled over to its people.

So yeah. I saw a felon taking over the white house coming from miles away because that is, at the core, what every American wants. To have everything handed to them with no effort while escaping all consequences. They were fucking deluded to think otherwise.

My respect for Americans has never been high but it's nearing the basement at seeing the fucking pity party Americans are throwing for themselves over shit they made happen. I've got very little sympathy to be had for people upset at the current situation when their enormous contribution to checks notes STOPPING NAZIS was to cast a ballot once every four years.

It's painfully stereotypical. Not to mention the hyper common trope of brilliant savant who is autistic and thereby socially crippled. It also just feels really gross

Don't care. Fuck around, find elbows.

Good luck. We have allies and friends who still trade with us that we don't tariff. And as for all of this garbage from Americans asking us to absorb the US instead...

No. Fuck you. You made this mess, you clean it the fuck up. I would not want to touch your shitty country in a hazmat suit BEFORE this recent election. Your country is toxic waste.

If I suddenly stop posting forever in the summer it's because I saw someone wearing a Trump hat here in Newfoundland and proceeded to do some things to him that are very much illegal.

Note to any Americans coming to Canada though for any reason. Ditch the flags and hats and shit. We got tired of it a long time ago but I've outright seen people refuse to serve Americans so far who display any sort of patriotism and I kinda back them on it.

I'm autistic and I like the big bang theory.

In sitcoms, everything is the punchline. That's sort of the point of them. They take things to extremes for the sake of humor. I find shit like Good Doctor to be way more fucking insulting than an exaggeration of me and my friends. I can 100% be Sheldon at times, especially when it comes to Star Trek.

Autism and nerdculture isn't the punchline. Everyone who worked on the show was nerdy as hell. It's the set up. The punchline is stereotype.

No. You were sealioning. Also this post violates rule 6. Begone.

can let their righteous fury get the better of them at times.

No argument here.

Sorry, I'm stressed the fuck out about a few things at the moment and I get this type of stuff without irony or sarcasm surprisingly frequently. Hard to recognize what is and isn't anymore.

And you are spam creating multiple accounts, doing a call out, and deleting your account. This shit has been going on for weeks. I dunno what your bizarre obsession is with creating an account for that explicit comment only to delete it.

So what's your point? That I don't scour the depths of every single community and then cross check what has been posted with what I've already got posted?

Shit happens and reposts occasionally happen. Jesus. I do plan on deleting the post but because it is a repost against my own rules and you've made me aware of that. Would really like you to tone back the high level and unnecessary self righteousness though from someone who can't even keep a single account going.

Dead account whining about repost (Moderator removed it because it was the only comment on that deleted account):

Dead account whining about repost:

You seriously going to try and say that you, an account created minutes before making that comment, aren't related to all those others?

To that end … Stamets cmon you can do better, wait 31 days at least.

I'm gonna delete this post because I wasn't aware it was posted recently but I'm not gonna lie, this comment annoys the hell out of me. I'm not on lemmy 24/7. No one is. Humans gotta sleep at the very least and I'm dealing with my own stressful nightmare of a life at the moment. I'm not gonna see every post. Saying "You can do better" implies I was sitting there waiting for this post to time out so I could post it again.

I've got a shitload of comics saved. Some of em are ones other people have posted in the past and, occasionally, I've posted it too and didn't mark it as posted. But I'm not out here looking through every single post ahead of time to manage what I can and cannot post. Sometimes shits just gonna happen.

These are small towns. Like between 200-1000ish people. East Coast of Canada for me.

Had them in some small towns I lived in growing up that were used for a public board. Yard sales, missing stuff, other events or official notices.
