That's more complicated than Stremio to setup though, and still requires you to download the movie/show before watching, correct? Stremio just requires adding Torrentio in the app and linking your RD account once - then it's easy times.

Listen, I think Jellyfish is great - but it really is a horse's for courses scenario. The Stremio + Torrentio + RD triad just works for a lot of people that need a wife proof solution (pardon the sexism) and don't want to store all this content.

Out of interest, does Jellyfish have ability to list Netflix, HBO catalogues? That's a convenient add-on in Stremio where you can essentially browse a specific streaming service's catalogue, or at least their most popular items.

Stremio works on android TV. I use the Stremio + RD + Torrentio setup, it's great for essentially mimicking the Netflix experience in that you can sit down and browse movies/series, watch trailers then just select something to watch right then and there. It's intuitive so my family can use it easily.

If you mainly watch movies on your PC/laptop then there may not be that much material gain from the above setup - but it is a good option if wanting to fully replace the Netflix-esque experience.

Yeah, I was being a bit flippant but it's true that FOSS is more compatible with open science. To be honest nothing I use anymore is paid. My testing software, analysis software and modelling software is all FOSS and developed by Academics in my area and I honestly don't see an advantage to paid versions. Shit, we even use Inkscape to edit figures.

Generally there are free trials or FOSS alternatives for most academic programs because academics are stingey af.

Cursory search showed Spin Works might suit your needs.

You're talking about pirating the pirates though. RD is so cheap compared to a streaming subscription and essentially free given the amount of content it provides. Stremio is user friendly enough for anyone to use. Just pay for the extra subs.

Read their post mate, they said they would be replying with common VPNs and wanted people to up/down vote and comment on each one.

Anything that isn't Mullvad will get downvoted because many here have brought over the Reddit hivemind mentality. Many of the downvoted VPS ITT are completely safe and fine, and actually offer greater functionality than Mullvad, but you can't deny Mullvad are the top when it comes to privacy - not even using a username/email plus allowing btc payment.

I used Mullvad, found them great for everything and would be my only VPN if they were big enough to facilitate streaming via other countries. Due to smaller number of servers it isn't possible to use a lot of streaming services with them...I found this out when o/s and needing to VPN into my home country to access my geo-locked streaming service.

Me too. I pay to publish mine, better believe I send free pdfs.

Many Profs or labs will have a website where the paper is hosted too. It used to be that you could host on ResearchGate but publishers stamp that out routinely.

This has got to be Iron Maiden album art right?

Stream

Edit: if using Stremio+Torrentio it is worth paying for something like Real Debrid. Negates needing VPN and much faster streaming rate.

Built this Yacht master inspired Seiko for the impending summer. Features Seiko NH34 GMT movement, Yacht master style case and bezel and a Seiko dial with Rolex style hands, currently on a Fullmosa strap. Overall build cost <$100 USD.

I bought this solar-powered multiband Casio Lineage for $30 USD on Yahoo Auctions, cheap due to scratch on the mineral crystal and a stuck pusher.

Disassembly upon receipt revealed the waterproof seal had been compromised leading to a bit of rust on the inside. I tore down the case and removed the scratched glass. Soaked the case in WD-40 and thoroughly cleaned the pushers. Replaced the glass with a $15 USD sapphire crystal and reassembled with a tropic strap. Now works perfectly.

This is now a regular on the rotation. Such a beautiful watch for the price, offering world time, stopwatch and alarms. It contrasts well with my automatic divers and retro digitals. While I'd like to get another Lineage, perhaps in white, I think an Oceanus would make more sense, or better yet a Seiko Astron/Citizen Atessa.
