I'm reading Deaths End the 3rd book in the "Three Body Problem" series.
Some of the best sci-fi I've ever read, super unique ideas, I was blown away with some of the concepts in this series.

A very Toronto doggo I must say
This is incredible, well done!
A'Tuin gang represent!
I love how sinister this comes off.
Roald Dahl's books (most) have such dark undertones, this picture feels so in universe I love it
Lmao this reads like Warhammer 40K lore, it's amazing
I've actually started a work journal to catalogue what I do in a day. I find I do a lot of things outside of my job description so I started journaling it as a way to see what I do and what I'm "supposed to"
I think it's really helped me with my overall memory. I'm still pretty forgetful, but I've genuinely been getting better at remembering things which is super nice for me (and my partner ahah)
Slice and Dice is a solid phone game, easy time waster and a lot of fun rolling some dice to kill some baddies. In general though I do think they are quite trash, but ports and emulators are probably the best option
Yeah I'm here from RIF on connect, feels good. Still missing a few things, like I don't have a "hot" filter, I seem to be seeing a lot of the same posts. But over all after the past two weeks of using Lemmy, I'm happy to be away from Reddit
Have they not threatened the communities with scabs as well? Like "if you don't mod this, we will find someone who will". The whole thing just seems super toxic and I really feel for the mods who genuinely cared and cultivated their subreddits. A lot of time and effort to be put into something for it to be thrown in their face for the sake of money.
Also it's kind of crazy to me the amount of traffic it gets every. Single. Time. I know they have a bot issue, but do people just like that they know they have a popular opinion and just want to see rhe up votes or is it just one of those "watch the same movie 15 times for the comfort of it" type things. Either way I find it wild.
I've just been watching through Futurama again, and so many of the lines never fail to crack me up.
I just watched the episode in season 3 where Zap, Kiff, Leela and Amy go on a double date, and the space station restaurant starts crashing so Zap takes the wheel to "save the day". As he takes the wheel he says so confidently"She's built like a steakhouse but handles like a Bistro" and that line absolutely slays me. I was almost in tears hearing it again, I love Zap as a character so much.
