trouble creating a community? (lemmy.world)

I'm using Google Chrome (up-to-date), on lemmy.world if that helps. I'd like to make a community but when I fill out the information and click the create button it does nothing. No loading icon, no error message. I thought maybe its just being slow so I let it sit there for 10 minutes and still nothing. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug? Or is my account too new maybe?

edit: I turned my ad blockers off but that didn't seem to make a difference either. The name is lowercase, no spaces or underscores so that doesn't seem to be the problem. I also cleared my browser, no change.

I heard that lemmy will upvote anything. This is literally just a can of fucking beans in c/[email protected]
