Agreed, which I know is on purpose trying to get you to spend more time on the site and see more things that could be impulse buys.

I thought I had read that Iran knew the US was coming and had removed all personnel (and uranium if you believe everything in the news) ahead of time. And even then reporting right afterwards showed we purposely avoided bombing buildings that would actually contain nuclear material, no doubt because this was so Trump could toot his own horn about helping Israel without actually doing much harm to Iran (who has Russia as an ally - and Putin likely pulling Donnie's strings).

A KDE developer made a blog post on the 21st talking about X11 stats on KDE and the numbers show the majority are already on Wayland.

At this point in time, our telemetry says that a majority of Plasma users are already using the Wayland session. Currently 73% of Plasma 6 users who have turned on telemetry are using the Wayland session, and a little over 60% of all telemetry-activating users (including Plasma 5 users) are on Wayland.

Anyone that wants to take an "at home" version can do so here.

Well from the bottom of the article apparently someone is looking to carry on with X11 and has started Xlibre (with what looks like TONS of new drama).

I'm not clicking on what looks like an AI slop YouTube video just to find out why a guy making a video about AI needed to use AI to make the video. Beyond seeing clippy for nostalgia, seeing that it's likely a video about MS I care even less.

If you actually thought it was a video of value, you could have written (or just copy/pasta) a description of the video and why it might be of interest.

What? He kinda broke a finger and then suddenly needed to use AI? His one bad finger prevented him using the other 9? He couldn't speech-to-text it?

Or did AI break his finger to get him to make the video?!

Surely MTG and the other QAnon shitheads in Washington will be calling Trump out for enabling child abuse right?

They are essentially doing the same as KDE, whose statement was linked in the article.

KDE

For now, the Plasma X11 session remains in maintenance mode. That means critical issues—like login failures or major regressions—will still be addressed. However, minor bugs are unlikely to get fixes unless funded, and new X11-specific features are off the table entirely.

VS

Gnome

First things first: Xorg isn’t being abandoned outright. It remains maintained and is receiving necessary security patches and bug fixes. However, active development has effectively halted, with most of its original contributors now focused on Wayland.

Edit - added Gnome quote effectively saying the same thing.

Sure, why not take a 1.5 billion dollar hit just to own the libs. These people are not serious people, and we should stop treating them as if they are.

With nonsense like this Dems should call a press conference outside and explain that Republican voters will be purchasing the USPS a new fleet, for no other reason than because their elected officials think they should.

I guess if Trump does away with pollinators he doesn't have to worry about who is going to work the farms. Stable Genius at work yet again, 4D chess when everyone else is playing checkers. All this winning feels like we are being dragged backwards...

She was all over him pre-election. If you're into horror you can just Google the two of them and scroll picks of her basically invading his personal space any time she could.
