How the hell is M.World costing $1200 a month ! ? Its not that heavy on activity. Uni or Mastodonapp.uk probably has more and costs less to run. I mean I run cupoftea.social with 5000 users at £80 a month.

I Remember seeing his name in a list of "celebs" that had signed up at the time.

He actually joined mastodon in November last year but left again because some wasteland instances took to attacking him AFAICR. He just wants to wallow in his own crapulence now

Paypal was built on the idea of a system that was without regulations that were tough. Paypal in the UK operated out of Ireland up until recently out of FCA control knowing full well they were committing fraud on a grand scale with things like "We're closing your account and if you want your money back get in contact with us in 180days time" which was the email people used to get when the system didnt like you for any reason.

Im not bothered about adverting your products as long as its not just advertising in every single post and theres a human element to the social posting Rule 5,6 of Cupoftea.social (my instance) "No accounts setup purely to sell something / Fake Engagement (Such As Investments/NFT/Cryptos/Wealth stuff) There has to be a human element in your posting. ""No spam , Excessive promotion , Porn or S**t Posting, Its just not for this server " Mastodon.social is full of crap and its user numbers are mostly from spam bots and porn.

Almost a year since I started Cupoftea.social on Mastodon and left twitter and things have been going well and sign up waves every time Musk does something

No they'd have to make the lights just work if the EU got involved. AFAIK

Its actually illegal under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 in the UK for a product to force a change on its functionality after you bought it.
Also surprised if EU law will allow this ?
I for one will be seeking a refund for the products either directly or through a court just to show them up.

Update Note Showing Consumer Rights Act 2015 "Goods Not Fit For Purpose" alone is enough to demand your money back. https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2015/15/section/10
and as it relies on digital content to support them and this is where the main problem is, section 40 applies where they changed it for the worse

Come over to Kbin. Honestly I hear some much weird crap going on with Lemmy instances. You can still federate with Lemmy.world unless they block the community. You also seem to be a user on lemmy.ml which isnt .world and could be the reason in itself you're being banned as lemmy.ml has got some weird polices and admin stuff going on.

Sony Music responsible for recently threatening to take radio streaming apps to court for streaming radio stations outside the UK under some false pretence.
They also couldnt give a crap about vinyl quality for their artists and have had entire reissues that were faulty and never repressed. They're seriously starting to piss me off recently. Going to donate to Archive.
