I'm not Finnish and I got it. Sounds like my dad who's a bit of a hardass and doesn't like for others to worry. Life is hard, what's complaining going to do? And yeah I'd say he's emotionally stunted and has trouble forming real connections.

This is true. I do a bit of shepherding myself, and many have never heard of Lemmy. Don't give up on them!

Saying "Lemmy/Mbin/Piefed" is too long, just Lemmy is reductive, "Threadiverse" doesn't really roll off the tongue,we are only a subset of the Fediverse. What would you call us? Horrible names allowed in c/fedibridge@lemmy.dbzer0.com
