I live in an RV, which has a special toilet designed to use very little water.

I don't think it would work even if I could afford to retrofit my bathroom, as water pressure is often an issue when traveling.

Most likely? Unfortunately most people either don't care about software freedom, don't know about it, are actually scared of it, or just don't have the time or know how to switch. Couple that with the fact that Microsoft and Apple are determined to lock it down and the trend seems clear to me.

Ofc I would Love to be wrong, I just don't have much faith in people knowing or caring about what is in their best interest.

I'm almost the exact opposite. Life is literal hell for me right now and while I'm 90% positive that oblivion awaits, there's that 10% that comes from being brainwashed growing up that still scares me.

I wasn't aware of existence before I was born, and I imagine it will be exactly like that after.

Knowing my luck though there will be a God, who is just as big of an asshole as the Bible makes it out to be. Hell will be real and I would definitely go there, because even if I were certain that God was real, if it's the God of the Bible I wouldn't worship it, not in a million years.

I like to call it GNU plus Trek

How is that insane? I keep a tiny trash can with a step open lid next to the toilet specifically for that. The lid and frequently changing the bags prevent it from stinking, plus it uses way less water.

Personally I feel like they have all the benefits of bidets and TP, with none of the drawbacks.

Or the assholes like Jimmy John who go out and shoot Elephants.

Sure, but I think the point is that we have to recognize the mistakes in order to prevent repeating them.

It's not like Harris is ancient like Trump or Biden, and I think a lot of voters are convinced age always equals wisdom, so I don't think they would accept anyone younger than Harris anyway.

I don't get this one. They were both pro genocide, so how was Trump's version any better?

From the POV of someone who just wants the Genocide to stop, "Burning all Palestinians and tuning Gaza into New Vegas" and "Burning all Palestinians and tuning Gaza into vacation homes for rich Israelis" is functionally equivalent.

That was by no means the only issue I based my vote on, but I also don't think it's unreasonable for someone to conclude that voting for the lesser of two evils is still voting for evil

She has a decent shot of winning too, with the Republicans who are paying attention and the Democrats who aren't.

Unfortunately politics is just a popularity contest for most people, so a lot of people aren't paying attention.
