Rigourous due process for the death penalty is more expensive than a life sentence. So either you deny people rigourous due process in cases of the death sentence, or you spend more than you would have if you just imprisoned them for life. Additionally, the death penalty shows no retributive justice benefit over a life sentence, because retributive justice doesn't work very well.

The only argument I could ever think of for the death penalty is when a life sentence is impossible, whether by breakdown of government services like a civil war, or repeated escapes from prison. Anything else is just jerking yourself off at people dying - even if it's the right people.

I'm Canadian and eggs are still like $2.70 (US) a dozen despite several outbreaks. This is just what happens when you dismantle all government services.

No, but in other examples, incorrect grammar can make a statement scientifically incorrect.

These are not additional pronunciations though.

Bough rhymes with plough, slough rhymes with tough, dough rhymes with though, and slough rhymes with plough or through.

The oft repeated line is grammatically incorrect.

I'm personally a fan of permanent DST. People around me always comment that they'd be going to work in the dark in the winter if we had permanent DST. Buddy, we live in Canada, we already do in the winter.
