My mom orders stuff from them all the time. We don't even use the spices fast enough but she gets more, usually for her friends too though.

Hell it happens here on Lemmy. And tbh I've thought about doing it too, shit's way too depressing right now.

It's actually gonna be a miniseries

Maybe it was something like a word-swap mod to change "type 1/type 2" to "male/female" that got banned?

No clue. /s

ETA: which, I saw a couple posts in the steam discussions "celebrating" that Nexus put that mod back up. Like how fucking childish do you have to be to actually go out of your way to make a post like that? Saying shit like "I bet all the people who complained about it in the first place are CRYING right now!" It's literally changing some words in a menu of a fucking video game

Everyone gains collective amnesia about all the good times they had playing/modding Bethesda games whenever they're in the news cycle for some reason. It's kind of fascinating/frustrating.

Add in the fact that a lot of these people have regressed over the past 10 or so years to the point where they think like 12-13 year olds again, and we get this whole "anti-woke gamer" bullshit.

To be completely fair though, I had to go out of my way to find people shitting on the game for even being "woke" in the first place. I saw the type 1/type 2 body type when I was making my character, but I just figured it was a natural progression since every other game with a character creator in the last 5 years has done away with gendered body types, and Oblivion is such a classic that it might have been overlooked; sadly not. In my head though (also because duh, it's obvious if you use your eyes) I ascribe each to male or female, and it took me like a second to get through that entire thought process.

And they all started playing Minecraft unironically.

Love that episode.

I remember watching Grand Thumb's video on actual grand thumb, because I had never known it was a thing (I'm not huge on guns and I like history, but not that much) and thought it was interesting. A couple years later and there's a video of him shooting guns with a couple other guntubers out in the bush, and iirc there wasn't anything explicitly said or stated in the video, but I just got an overwhelming vibe of "good ol' boys shootin and drinkin and talkin trash" which rubbed me the wrong way.

Asmon is fucking disgusting human trash who wallows in his own filth, thinking it's normal to do. Like letting rats decompose into the carpet right next to where he sleeps, or not cleaning up his vomit "because he liked the smell"

Been playing nonstop since it came out. I'm already level 30, almost done with Mages Guild and nothing else.

It's back.

G*mers are so far gone I'm not sure we can save them at this point.

Edit: dude literally believes people are gonna hack into your PC and uninstall certain mods or games if it doesn't fit with a certain worldview in a couple years. If anything, the only evidence I've seen for people to totally censor shit like video games (and other media) is ~~nazis~~ Republicans.

Well, this is a discussion thread, and I found some shit I need to discuss, although not with the game itself directly, but with "fans" and other G*mers:

This chucklefuck is actually getting some attention and people agree with them. The human race is fucked if the average person thinks like this on a daily basis. I'm not sure what's worse; the out in the open bigotr, or the fact that they're apparently okay with the current administration turning the government a completely fascist regime, or let alone they think this administration is "too soft" on perceived entertainment slights.

Like why does reality have to be so shit?

I was told jank was left in specifically because that's a huge part of Oblivion in the first place.

Part of me appreciates it. Also it's just using the same code from the original game, so I guess they wouldn't want to fuck with it too much. Duct tape and voodoo, after all.

I was just wondering everyone's favorite level(s) were/are. You can explain why you like it, or you can just name drop the level you like most.

Mine are probably:

  1. Assault on The Control Room, I love the big epic set pieces of the level, and it has probably the best/most "examples" of what Halo is as a game than any other in CE. You have big weapons, vehicles, large open battles, and awesome music.

  2. Delta Halo from Halo 2. I love the lush jungle setting and going through the underwater elevator is always fun. Plus I love just beating the hell out of Truth.

  3. Halo, from Halo 3. Like Assault on The Control Room, this level has it all

If it's at all possible. I just find it kind of annoying to have to scroll through super long posts just to get to the comments. Review threads for newly released games in some of the gaming communities are what prompted this idea lol.

Edit: what the hell is going on with that account that keeps spamming nonsense?

So I like to use Xbox controllers (doesn't matter if it's first- or third-party) because I like the layout, it's just comfortable to me. However I've noticed that on all my controllers in the past few years, the left thumb stick will start to "give out" over the course of a couple months. For instance I'll be pushing it forward all the way, but it won't register for some reason and my character will only move a little bit. Sometimes wiggling it a bit will fix it, sometimes it doesn't. And it's not like I'm squeezing the hell out of the controller or mashing the stick constantly; in fact it's made me try to be more delicate with my controllers, even though I'm just playing the games normally.

Is it just how controllers are, or am I just getting the shit end of the stick?
