Nikujin by ikiki, and other games by the same developer. Not sure where to find them now, but they were some of the greatest freeware games I have played.

The original 360 didn’t even come with an hdmi port, I remember playing Armored Core 4 on a crt. For me anything that was meant to be played on a crt is definitely retro.

“Massively underpowered” switch hardware is much more powerful than the 360 as well, with games like Skyrim, RDR, Bayonetta, all running much better than they ever did on 360 or PS3. So if that’s retro…

Emulation has nothing to do with it, Saturn emulation is not great still and it’s an old system, original xbox as well. All the while PS3 emulation is pretty good now and PS3 is newer than the 360. Hell, Nintendo Switch even got an emulator in the middle of its life cycle, does that make it retro?

It is a remaster of those two games from PS1 era.

Valve tried holding out on a failed game with Artifact, and git 0 return on investment, even after revamping it.

Still, Concord seemed kind of interesting with how ambitious it all was. I wonder if they could have pushed it off the ground with some redesigns

They also made shitty movies, on a Spider-Man license no less. Just one crazy decision after another

Speedball 2 Brutal Deluxe and Cannon Fodder are must try (there are both Amiga and dos versions for both).

Lemmings is really good. Original Worms. Lost Vikings. Syndicate.

Breath of the wild is a technical masterpiece though. The way that they’ve managed to do lights, shadows, LODs, distant effects. And they’ve managed to add even more to ToTK, plus physics based audio, plus physics objects interacting better than any modern AAA game on “big” consoles. They squeezed every last bit of performance that switch could provide to make these games look as good as humanly possible.

They work with what they have in terms of hardware, and care a lot about gameplay, but they also do invest heavily into graphics and other technical aspects of their games.

also legal drugs, other psychiatric drugs, if they want to, to get off of SSRIs, to get off of benzos, to get off of Adderall, and to spend time as much time as they need — three or four years if they need it — to learn to get reparented, to reconnect with communities, to understand how to talk to people. There'll be job training, particularly in the trades

Seems more like slavery.

And also no devices there, it will be amish paradise
