I am 40 solid minutes into a long as puzzle quest in act 3. I have a "eureka!" Moment as I realize what to do in the last portion. Tragedy suddenly strikes- I perhaps graze an fn key (idk which) and apparently that particular key LOADS YOUR LAST SAVE ??? The worst part was I was literally about to save after writing morning me a note on what to do. And of course my last save was mid combat so now I have a fight to do all over again. Why is that even a button?

I think deepfake porn is a bad call. Not only are you using nudes w/o the people's permission to train the a.i. but you're generating graphic content of people who don't want themselves exposed like that

I would like to see darknetmarkets make a comeback. There really isn't a way to find any darknet sites without being told about it. shoplifting would be a good one too esp since that subreddit always discouraged people from stealing from small businesses/encouraged ethical stealing which I appreciate.

I also think subreddits centered around conspiracies like pizzagate should make a comeback even though that doesn't interest me personally.

I'm flippant on cringeanarchy. Before it was taken over by trolls, racists, etc, it was actually interesting. I'd like to see something similar but I worry it invites the same fate

When there's no war, people like Hitler won't have any opposition to their rise to power. Haiti never gains independence. We'd never have escaped feudalism.

Most wars are stupid bullshit and suck ass. The military, especially the US military, is the biggest waste of money ever. That doesn't mean that war isn't directly tied to lots of positive things like innovation. There's so much medical, industrial, and geographical knowledge we wouldn't have if it wasn't for some war, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. People's ideas will always conflict because different groups of people are going to have goals unique to them that clash with others

Now if you were to ask how to stop unnecessary wars, better more efficient rulers. Most of the people in power today are complete hacks. It's crazy

But I don't think we'll ever get rid of war and I don't know if that's necessarily that crazy? Ultimately it's apart of how we grow as societies

I'm honestly torn. Their points about it not having monetization make zero sense - there's a bunch of shit on the internet available for free, the fediverse didn't invent that. I also find it very interesting that they tore into the rough around the edges federating of mastodon without mentioning how smooth it is on lemmy, kbin, etc. Though to be honest I tried mastodon and it did feel kinda dead

Been using lemmy and really enjoying it. I have a twitter account that does me no good so Mastodon seemed very appealing. I joined an instance, made some posts, tried interacting with a lot of people. . . I dunno. It just never really grabbed me.

I've noticed that content seems to federate on lemmy better than on Mastodon even though lemmy is younger, and I'm under the impression this is true for kbin as well though I don't personally use it. I'd love to hear how you guys feel about it - as an artist the idea of having a blog to share my creations as well as life updates is cool but man it's just so dead

you can use an indoor adhesive to fill the chipped area, paint it, and glaze it to fix it. there's different adhesives and glazes out there so I would recommend looking into what the mug's made of and trying to match materials. Keep in mind that if it's dishwasher/microwave safe the adhesive/glaze you use might affect that

You can also use a polymer clay and glaze to fix it. Keep in mind polymer clay needs to bake to set so the mug HAS to be dishwasher safe (since it'll be able to withstand high heats!)

EDIT: Don't know how I forgot to include this but while the above character design is by me, this art piece was done by devisopod

Richie is a character of mine who will one day appear in a comic I'm currently working on. To say this comic is my passion project feels like an understatement. The comic has three main installments and Richie is the main protagonist of the second installment

His story deals with some heavy themes centering around identity, war, trauma, and grief. The idea of how to keep living. It is also as you may imagine deeply personal for me.

In an effort not to spoil anyone who might actually read the comic one day I'll instead drop some random fun facts yippee

  • Richie's favorite color is pink
  • Richie's favorite food is raw drakkon's brain- a delicacy
  • All of Richie's tattoo's are made using a mixture of ink and shapeshifter blood. This deepens his connection with his environment. It also makes them glow slightly when his body is under stress
