to add as well that this is the third station for a small city; Cambridge North and Cambridge both have 'normal' parking, as do loads of other stations on the line. Just drive to one of the others. If you live south of Cambridge and want to commute on this line you'd probably drive to Whittlesford Parkway or Royston rather than going into the wrong city for no reason.

Even better headline: new £200m train station is already projected to be too small for the expected footfall but Network Rail wouldn't revise their figures before they built it.
