The first one is supposed to be chemtrails, or other weather manipulation from conspiracy theories.

Or, the next president, with any luck a democrat, will be so afraid of the backlash from radical Christians, that they won't change it back.

Won't be the first time something happens.

Henry Kissinger.

The Postman by David Brin is an interesting novel about rebuilding after an apocalypse, marred by superman.

That's as much as I'm going to say.

Comparing to most other smartphones, I agree with you.

But compared to previous Fairphones, this is a downgrade.

But yeah, there are other issues, like the USB downgrade, which is not great.

When I read that, it decided me on the phone. I was almost completely certain my FP4 replacement would be the FP6, but the USB downgrade makes it a no-go for me.

Too bad, because I love the easy repairability.

Meaning what, that movie adaptations are not necessary? I know that.

The posted list put Dune in with movies that were made based purely on the success of their predecessor, which is not the case for Dune.

Now, while the sequel wouldn't have been made if its predecessor hadn't been successful, the books are the driver behind making the movies.

Dune messiah a franchise exploit? How?

It's based on the next book in the series. There is a reason for it to exist beyond making money.

Maybe the plastic of the bottle flexes more, whereas glass doesn't move, so the cap scrapes against it more.

WHAT CAN THE HARVEST HOPE FOR, IF NOT FOR THE CARE OF THE REAPER MAN?

I love Kim Stanley Robinson’s books, and am reading (in some case re-reading) his books in order. At some point, I’m going to get to Green Earth, but since it’s a reworking of the Science in the Capitol trilogy, I wanted to find out just how much it adds/leaves out/changes.

Is the difference significant enough to merit a “re-read”? I'm particularly interested in characterization, but I'm also curious if the science itself has been significantly changed, with resulting plot changes.

Thanks!
