Because paying for the servers to keep the game online cost more money than what they make out of it.

Early 2010s Reddit was so addicting, if there was something in the world it was on the front page in 15 minutes. I remember being excited to check on Reddit after waking up to see that was the event of the day.

After 2016 the algo was screwed up and it became a cesspool of reposts and news were late to show up.

I paid for a 250$ bidet toilet seat and i don't even use it. How is it supposed to work? My stool are soft sometimes, and even with the bidet pressure to the max, it doesn't fully clean it. I'm left with dripping wet ass covered with shit. Then i need to use toilet paper that's literally melting from all that water on my ass. As a result i use 3x more toilet paper and my hands gets dirty. Very unpleasant.

Am i using it wrong?

Gov ask companies to pay for sharing news. Meta is complying with the regulation. They're sharing zero news, which is within their rights.

12 years. Was thinking about leaving when they announce the api death blow. Actually decided to leave when i saw how reddit admins blatently lied about the apollo dev situation.

Awards? Never saw those on my 2015 version of baconreader app. Couldn't care less.

When spez doubled down and Reddit imploded i moved to lemmy. I also discovered mastodon. But then i realized the reason i used twitter was to follow certain people/accounts none of which are on mastodon.

We had a reason to ditch Reddit, because they forced everyone off our beloved third party apps. But twitter didn't have this kind of meltdown. Im only a consumer on Twitter, and its still working fine. No reason to quit. The rate limit is dumb but it isn't the end of the world.
