Simply having to sit and watch as morons poorly attempt to back in suggests they don't have a good grasp of their surroundings.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 13 hours ago

Literally easier to pull straight in and stay centered between other vehicles. The literally easier to back out since there's far more space available in the parking lot lane I'm backing out into.

Never had an issue with this in my life. Never hit a car, never took forever to do it, never hit anyone, and cannot believe the mental gymnastics people do to convince themselves backing in is somehow better.

Nah, just inconveniencing traffic on the front end as they wait for the poor attempts at backing in.

Actually having to sit and watch these morons attempt to back in in the first place says otherwise.

Which always ignores how so often the total time spent is increased by their shitty driving cause they always take forever to back in cause they are no good at it despite their insistence on this idiocy.

All while inconveniencing everyone waiting for their sorry asses to figure it out.

As I drive away finally I ALWAYS see in my mirror how they had to pull and back in again to straighten out.

Fucking selfish morons.

Every excuse I have ever heard defending this, and reading them here, always just has this underlying "I'm a moron" sound to them. The logic is usually abject idiocy. Keep telling yourself it's "better/easier/safer" whatever. You're an idiot for doing it and a bigger idiot for trying to justify it.

I will continue thinking to myself how I wish you'd die in a car crash every time I'm sitting in a parking lot waiting forever for the moron inconveniencing everyone as they poorly attempt to back in and take fucking forever cause they can't handle their fucking vehicle or surroundings.

Bonus points for you asshats with giant vehicles you have no business driving.

Hmm... does a Grond plus a Gonk make a Gronk?

These are unix/linux terminal actions.

'sudo' controls access rights, so it's effectively like Windows admin rights. People typically wouldn't be allowed to use sudo unless they own the system or are some kind of system administrator (like in a workplace).

The 'rm' is the remove function, or deleting files or folders.

'-rf' are two options you can specify with the 'rm' to . The '-r' part means recursive, and effectively conforms to the 'rm' you do in fact want to delete a directory (folder). Normally rm would not, and rmdir I think only works on empty directories. The '-f' option forces removal of all items without any prompts for confirmation for individual items found for removal.

Then the '/*' is the file and or directory path you want to remove. In this case it's the top of the system. The entire statement is essentially a joke about a full delete of your computer.

Just saw an Asus I think in Best Buy, and some other brand as well. More expensive than a Steam Deck and lacking a few features like all of the rear buttons and the two touchpads.

One of them also clearly was just Windows 11.

Pathetic. Buy a Steam Deck.

2018 is now "really, really old"?

Sheesh.

Has she considered mumble rap instead of roleplay.

Also it's "a whole other" and NOT "a whole nother"

Ys I Chronicles on Steam Deck. Adol meets Dogi for the first time, again and again if you decide to get imprisoned multiple times.

Today is Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty from the Master Collection, Volume 1 on Steam. This is really just the HD edition from a decade ago though. But they did seem to enhance the visuals a bit, and like the other collection games, it comes with some background material like a Screenplay. This was probably my 20th time playing this game on yet another platform since the original.

Here messing around with soldiers. I like the markers over their heads.

Magazines come in handy.

I also like a lot of the in-game posters. There's some mods for these too. You should give Ghost Babel a try. It's non-canon, but still a great game.

More "interesting" posters.

There's an easter egg early in the Tanker if you find a specific poster of a woman in a locker and stare at it just right, then call Otacon.

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana for PS Vita. Fishing edition. Some random fishing pics I grabbed. I liked the fishing part of the game. It even slightly contributes to the story and progress if you catch them all.

Metal Gear Solid from their recent Master Collection, Volume 1. Played mostly via Steam Link and a little bit on Steam Deck. This was playing through the Japanese version (it has pretty much every version included). At this moment I think Snake's saying "that takes care of the cremation."

Here's a bonus screenshot of how this collection handles the games swap to disc 2. It does a disc flip animation showing one disc exiting and another inserting. I liked it.

And here's Johnny freaking out in Japanese.

Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake from the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection, Volume 1. Mostly played streaming to my TV via Steam Link, but also played a bit on Steam Deck. I think this is an English dub of the MSX version. This isn't the NES version. It was an excellent game for its time.

Snake also seems really concerned with Christmas as you can see.

Been having issues with lots of pics and getting errors. Apparently I have to reduce the already potato quality down to even more tater quality just to get it to allow upload.

Anyways, here's more Ys II on Steam Deck. A frozen statue allegedly holds interest in our red-haired swordsman.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning, Fatesworn DLC for PS4 played on PS5.

Played this game to 100% on PS3 originally. Was fun to play it again completely, and then get a bit more story beyond the original release with this DLC.

I have always felt this was an under-appreciated action rpg with a lot of great lore, fun characters, and varying environments.

The world and lore was created by R.A. Salvatore (fantasy writer), art sonehow directed by Todd McFarlane (Spawn creator), and originally funded by Curt Schilling (baseball player), and then at one point the IP was owned by the State of Rhode Island.

So basically you're getting a story in and out of the game Ha Ha. It was wild to watch this over the years come back to life with a re-release.

Note: Apparently lemmy can't handle large pics. Had to shrink it. So it gets potato quality like my previous Vita screenshots.
