The gray whale population along the West Coast showed another year of declines, according to the latest estimates, but scientists say there are some positive signs for the formerly endangered whales.

The contrail of a Falcon 9 rocket might be visible from San Diego County Tuesday night when the vehicle lifts off from Vandenberg Space Force Base in central California.

The SpaceX rocket is scheduled to lift off at 9:40 p.m., carrying 15 Starlink satellites into low-earth orbit.

So many options around the county!

Interested to know what they will decide for a replacement.

Some say, it's a poopy situation.

This was one of the very few positives of COVID. Rolling it back seems like a total policy failure. Better to make more beach-adjacent areas pedestrian friendly than to focus on the few less parking spaces, according to pretty much everyone who voices an opinion on the matter. Screams of 50s-era thinking.

I hadn’t thought about it this way, and I definitely agree. Similar communities on the same topic may evolve to offer a different vibe or different focus. The more a user interacts with the communities, the more differences they would discover (and appreciate??!?). Or people might just get frustrated and give up. Who knows. We are all humans, I suppose.

I’m really not sure how to solve for 1. So much of modern white collar work is patently pointless (or counterproductive). Definitely hard to stay engaged, especially when few of the benefits of increased productivity actually accrue to the folks doing the work. The disingenuous messaging of bullet 2 often highlights the difference in priorities between those who benefit from from increased productivity and those who just, you know, end up having to work more.
