Yeah, as an ex GS employee - GS does not have the profit margins on new games to do a sale like that on new games. Only used games get put on buy two get one sales, and those can be returned.

So this is definitely a /thathappened moment.

Also like... How old is this post? Even when I worked at GS years ago parents knew what CoD was. The first CoD came out in 2003 it is not the kind of obscure that parents would ask about.

I am personally very disinterested in using bikes to collect data. That's one of the benefits of traveling via bike - that the manufacturer can't just track you and everyone around you!

If the problem is that cars aren't safe around bicycles, then the solution should be to not allow cars near bicycles.

Don't tempt me with a good time.

Currently cows are the main carrier of interest for one of the two strains of bird flu that are a concern in the US. The viral particles are being detected in their milk. Hence bird flu milk.

Perhaps, but that is what I was told by my doctor for my area. Seems like she would know.

That is really helpful to know. I don't recall there being any MinuteClinics around here, but I'll take a look for next time, thank you :)

I live in NYS. I had to pay $200+ out of pocket for the booster because my medical insurance would only cover vaccines administered by a doctor's office, and the booster was only distributed to pharmacies. My medical insurance does not cover ANY prescriptions because apparently it's an optional DLC now.

Only CVS and Walgreens were given the boosters too so they could set whatever price they wanted.

I don't know a single other adult other than my partner that paid out for the booster because it was so expensive. If my immune system worked I could play roulette with vaccines too, but it doesn't so I just continue to get my physical safety held hostage for more money.

Which billionaire owns WSJ again?

I simply cannot fathom why a billionaire would want to devalue one of our highest paid working sectors left by flooding the labor market with cheaper labor. What could they possibly have to gain from holding workers hostage by their visa status?

What a mystery.

Being allosexual sounds exhausting. You get some kind of feels for a person just by looking at them? I can't wrap my head around that. Or sex drives. I don't mind participating, but I could live the rest of my life not having sex just like I could live the rest of my life not eating a specific kind of cereal.

To me sex is optional. I don't usually even think about it unless our allo centered world forces me to.

You know capitalism is really new in the scale of human history right? It wasn't until the industrial revolution in the 18th century that the means of production could be privately owned which then allowed for further speculative capital (stocks, land value, etc) to be equated to power.

The people of the past weren't inherently stupid. Plenty of scientific and cultural progress was made prior to capitalism being our economic model.

The problem isn't smartphones, it's capitalism.

All of those things would have happened anyway in a different form factor because capitalism is just a race to the bottom.

Except maybe UI design. That has been special in its enshittification.
