Its a little sad that even in pictures like this you can still see the mark of colonial history left on the land, these mountains are covered in Tea Plantations, which hurts the natural beauty imo.

With significant US military support, decades ago. Left to fend for themselves against modern, competent military forces I doubt they'd manage.
