Planning to go to London for a few days and was wondering is it worth spending time seeing Stonehenge. While it is one of the wonders, London is full of activities and got stuck in a limbo… Is it worth it? Thanks!

Yeah great idea! I dont think that I saw such issue in github, but I would also like to see this feature.

To be fair it says "one fewer child", not no children at all 😅 But yeah, person has 0 climate change impact when there is no person 👀

In a little bit more serious note, we should put more pressure on corporations and regulators regarding climate change, not on individuals.

Yes, you have to read the OP to mark it as read. After read, with new comments, post will remain as read. There is no way for that at the moment, but I think this is great idea!

You need to open the post to mark it as read. Expanding picture does not count. There are discussion on improving this https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy-ui/issues/384

Sadly no, does not seems like it :/ But implementation of this is already being discussed at https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy-ui/issues/384

Seems like quite a lot of people don’t know that there is a profile setting to not show posts that you’ve already read.

It is already an option, go to profile settings and unmark "Show Read Posts".

There is a setting that you can disable "Show Read Posts". This way you will only see new things :)

Great blog! I'm optimistic and really agree that it does not take that much to make this place run just fine. Even if just a fraction of people will migrate, it's okay. All we need is just a handful of people and all will be fine.

Oh, so this is not about removing existing space garbage, but just adding less of new 😅 Thanks for clarification!

Good points!

I'm interested in how many active villages we will get in Lemmy ecosystem.

I found this a bit confusing. Did I understood this correctly that this would be attached to satellites and it would collect metal garbage and convert it into fuel for the satellite to de-orbit?

On https://the-federation.info/platform/73 I've noticed a total users dip on 2022-11-04, did some instance closed?

I really enjoy lemmy.world and lemmy in general. And this is obviously not that important compared to increased server loads.

But am I the only one that finds current icon a little bit dated?

More flat design I think could look better.
