Facts. But it explains why they're trying. It's really hard for most people to accept and act on the knowledge that these people operate in bad faith and are just trying to make everyone miserable enough to give up.

The only way to win is to 1) not play their game and 2) to get a critical mass of people around you to follow you instead of them. It's like dealing with a narcissist, except there are millions of them bolstering each other and gaslighting the rest of us.

The requirement stems from knowing that if you aren't explicit and specific, regressives will try to ruin your life directly and via stochastic terrorism.

I'd encourage your mom to consider retiring and then running for local office.

We need the custodians of the public good to be in positions of authority. It's scary to give up control you know for a long shot, but at the same time, if enough people make the leap and give us solid options in every jurisdiction, we might be able to get out ahead of the regressives' next attack.

Seems like part of the goal. Outlaw abortion, force everyone who doesn't want a child to hand it over to the state, which will outsource to religious organizations, and then tighten up the child supply so anyone who can't have but wants a child will have to go through a local church to get access, and the price will go up.

Win win win for the religious fanatics.

Correct. Most states' laws do not envision the situation we are currently seeing, let alone what's coming.

Check your state. What constitutes harassment, and can you think of harassing things that could be done without violating the law? I can for my state.

So people who lie a lot make up idiotic justifications to believe their own lies. That doesn't make them not-lies.

I mean honestly it's immigration with extra steps for us and fewer steps for the migrants. But who are we kidding? These people are looking at the lack of public outrage regarding Gaza and 2 years of war in Ukraine, and they're thinking, "If no one cares about Russia or Israel, then it's not like they'll stop the US."

Department of labor has a lot of good resources.

The beauty of the panopticon and the surveillance state is that everyone breaks some law some time. So you just have to wait until you hate someone enough to notice them, find out what they did, and off they go to become slave labor.

The whole gag to fascism is that it is 100% projection at all times, both internally and externally.

They attack people because they're afraid to get attacked and they can't imagine a situation where everyone isn't thinking exactly like them, so of course it's only a matter of time before they're attacked...and thus must attack.

It's circular and deeply uncreative, but it is the root of every bully, from the playground to the autocratic despot.

Yet another terrible thing about prisons - they target policing in urban areas where the population is high and tends to vote Democrat. Once arrested, tried, and convicted, that person is sent to a prison in the middle of nowhere - and now counts toward the population of that area, but cannot vote themselves.

Population is used to determine how congressional districts get allocated, and they haven't increased the number of congressional seats in decades. So as the prison population rises, they are gaining seats at the expense of urban areas losing the same number.

It's literally an updated version of the 3/5 compromise.
