You have these usb-c to mini jack adapters. They are like 5 to 10eu. They are small enough to keep them attached to your jack headphone. It works perfectly for me.

I think it is better to view the usb-c plug as 'one protocol to rule them all'. If you do so, it makes quite some sense.

i don't even know anyone or anyone.

You don't have to know the person to reach out!

Go to a book store, search online, lookup products, search for events, etc

Look up artwork of books, comics, albums, posters, events, flyers etc of stuff you like. Try to find the visual artist, see if they have a portfolio. Contact them discuss a price that might work for you.

But neither shouldn't a government. Government independent journalism is also very important

Yes that is a good comparison. Similarly, indirect use of handcrafted or no gen ai is impossible to trace / verify / do. You can't handcraft each component for every tool you will be using. Similarly, you can't write your own library / compiler for every software component.

Such a label will indicate only on a high level, 'that technology' is not used. Which I think is fine.

So sad they put space hulk as a limited edition, I just searched and the prices start at 200eu (but typically more). It's a great board game.

Would love another reissue, or just have them put it in their production line.

Well, whatsapp has stories also, but I don't see people using them. I don't like to give my phone number to everybody. And it is very easy if someone has a profile, to look them up and send a follow request. That stuff you won't find with signal stories.

Though, pixelfed lacking stories should be possible to overcome right, given the protocol. If two users can handshake, and the instances accept the handshake, then they should in theory be allowed to send each other stuff. Like, in other fediverse platforms you can also send private messages

What I notice is that people really like the 'my story' functionality of instagram. It's a nice way to share some random stuff, without it being on the internet 'exposed forever and for everybody'. And you can share also something with only close friends, or just followers, etc

I really hate zuck, but I don't think pixelfed has such a functionality yet, right? I feel that, or just something similar, is sort of a main key to getting people make a transition from instagram.

Bluesky/mastodon transition is going pretty well though

Also a reason why I avoid playing on easier difficulties

Interested what people (mostly those with watches) do with their HR metrics, and how they use it to plan their exercises or their pace.

What is your rest HR? What is your maximum? What range are you typically in during exercise? What do you consider healthy? How do you use HR to determine your pace or what exercises to do? Do you have any advice with respect to this topic? Or do you think measuring HR is pure nonsense and we should not bother doing so at all?

I noticed my rest HR is at 50. My runs are mostly at 165-170ish averaged (aged 28), which seems to be fairly high. My last run (a bit faster than usual) had 24 minutes between 158-176 and 18mins higher than 176, at the end I peaked at 192 for an end sprint.

General thread about running with smartwatches.

Why do you run with (or without) a smartwatch? Which model do you have? What functionalities do you use often or are there any that you think are redundant? Did yours ever broke down? Are the sensors accurate?

Currently I do not have any but plan to buy one, budget max 200eu. Both the garmin forerunner 245 or 55 seem like solid choices but I am open to suggestions.
