Not quite, they're all separate devices communicating through the CANbus instead of a central computer.
There's at least 30% of the US that would believe it wholeheartedly.
Not that it would matter. They'll still zombie walk to the polls and vote for whoever has the little "R" after their name.
Most vehicles don't even seem to have transmission dipsticks at all, now.
