Yea I only ever had this on a Samsung S9 and I did find it helpful. Snapchat as you said did a good job using it.

I am suffering with this exact issue currently. Although the videos have embedded question checkpoints that need to be reached by watching the video.

I'm interested in the new music community! I'm terrible at branching out. Thanks for making something I didn't know I wanted.

Someone else said Vampire Survivors, the game I like a lot recently is 20 Minutes Until Dawn. Lots of guns, upgrades, and characters to have fun with.

I saw a post on instagram recently of making a lemon dessert - it halved+zested the lemons, mixed some things, then used the hollow lemon halves to hold the filling. It then just got refrigerated before eating. Does anyone know what I’m talking about?! I’d love a name or recipe. I do not think it was a sorbet, it was more of a pudding kinda thing.

This is not the first time Instagram has frustrated me like this, the save feature is my enemy as are the accounts deleting the good content!

Thanks!

I'm glad I deleted reddit (boost for android). I guess I could've kept the app until the end but I don't need to be logging in. I gave 10 bucks to rmayao for many hours of use. Lemmy is great and I'm spending less time scrolling in favor of interacting.

This is the one that clicked for me credit to [email protected]

You can think of it like emails.

A lemmy community is like an automated mailbox that sends everything they receive to all subscribers.

You can host a mailing list/community on gmail.

Then you can subscribe to the mailing list from outlook.

Then a user can send a post to the mailing list from yahoo.

The automated mailbox at gmail will receive the message from yahoo and send it to outlook and all other subscribers.

What's your community?

I felt the move of making reddit silver a real award was a big shift. Newer users don't even get why reddit silver was a thing.

I do like the idea of optional visibility - awards certain;y don't have to be bloat/bad.

Personally I am commenting and posting much more now than ever on reddit. I want to transition to lemmy and see it grow as I refuse to use the Android reddit app.

I am not typing/imagining a comment and then not posting it here either like many people do on reddit. It seems like a good time to become less of a lurker.

Definitely a problem that comes with reddit and the unique subreddit names I'd say. I feel like that may not be avoided here since moving many subscribers from a large->small community is so difficult. Maybe the federation style will be successful though, I can't say I have enough experience to predict that well.

creator here was really on the ball huh?

Personally I think that /r/superstonk should've shown solidarity with Reddit/ an indefinite blackout. People claiming 3rd party apps and the API issues weren't important did not sit well with me. I bet our reddit mods were not using new, IPO ready Reddit to do their work.

I hope some more of us join up here.

Realized another - the awards that reddit created were out of control. I didn't mind avatars too much since customization can be fun and it was optional, but the awards are spammed and shown on most reddit clients.

Yea that seems like something that started showing up more as time went on and more users joined. The trends and jokes did get tiring.

Personally I think not having karma limits is nice currently! I understand why they were used but grinding karma as a lurker on reddit was frustrating.
