Last night his brother Noki slipped out the door while I was trying to get the dog inside. This isn't a huge deal, he used to be a partial outdoor cat, I usually just wait and he comes back in an hour or two. Here's the trouble though, when he came back, this one (Scooter) decided he's never seen this cat in his life and will therefore attack and chase him viciously. I managed to wrangle Scooter into his carrying cage and get him in my bedroom. He spent the night with me with the doors closed, and when I woke up they seemed to be sniffing each other under the door and not hissing or howling, but when I opened the door all hell broke loose. Scooter will still not leave him alone if he sees him. I tried rubbing Noki with the towel from Scooters cage trying to get him to smell more familiar, but I don't know what else to do. They've always gotten along really well and their play fights never involved hissing and howling. Scooter lost a whole claw in the exchange last night. Noki seems fine but is hiding in a closet and I had to bring him food because Scooter won't let him come downstairs.

Update: Thanks to everyone for the suggestions! I kept Noki in a separate room overnight with a litter box and food/water. I fed Scooter and him treats on either side of the door. This morning I switched and put Scooter in the room and let Noki out. When I got home I fed them both treats under the door and then cracked it so they could see each other. No hissing or aggression so I let Scooter out and they finished the treats with their faces touching. After the treats were finished, Scooter gave a quick hiss and Noki walked off but there was no chase and no fighting. I think I'm on the right track! Noki is still hiding so I'm going to keep them separated and continue feeding them treats together until I feel like they are back to normal. This community is awesome, big thanks to everyone who commented♥️

Yes! He is literally the sweetest cat I've ever known. He is always just chill as heck, never much of a problem (aside from the occasional couch scratch) and always down to cuddle. He sleeps between my legs every night.

Living up to his name.

I try to post a picture of my cats every day or two. It's not much, but I get a fair amount of engagement on some of them. Aside from that I scroll daily and comment and upvote when something catches my eye. Haven't been back to Reddit since Apollo died so this is my only social media and I really want too see it grow.

Scooter looks annoyed. Bandit just woke up, doing the 100 yard stare.

Scooter Bug gets more comfortable than us mere mortals could ever hope to be.

My mom made both blankets in the picture. The black and white in the lower right corner and the one Noki is laying on. All I know is that the yarn comes from Michaels craft stores and she usually orders online.

Yeah and then I spend a minute brushing all the hair off my nose and going pfffff schpffffft. Lol

Noki is pro belly rubs and it's never a trap.

Does yours actually block YouTube ads? I followed instructions and set my pi-hole up a few years ago and it works pretty well on most things but does not block YouTube ads. I was told this was because YouTube hosts the ads on the same IP address as the videos and therefore the pi-hole can't tell the difference? However, I've been using smart tube on my Nvidia shield tv box and that blocks the ads. Do I just need to update my block list on the pi-hole?

Bandit slept right through it. Lol

Scooter loves Noki♥️

Scooter at the vet for his checkup. The vet said his gums are looking good and healthy after his teeth extractions. Looks like his stomatitis is history!

Haha. He's got his little punk rock arm bands from his surgeries. Where the hair is growing back, you can see the shave lines and it looks like corduroy.

Why do I feel more sympathy for the shooter then? Let me explain myself. I don't condone his actions, but here's the thing.. You have no idea what a stranger is going through in their life. No idea what trauma lies in their past. Going up to strangers and trying to provoke them could yield wildly different responses from person to person, and in the world we live in that could easily involve anger. Some people are barely holding it together and all they need is a jarring incident like this to make them snap. The shooter didn't provoke this situation. Yes he reacted poorly, but the entire thing would have been avoided if the brain dead YouTuber wasn't going around trying to elicit a response for clicks.

Just a thought, but have you tried requesting the desktop site from your mobile browser? I've had luck with a few websites that have missing features on their mobile pages.

Whoa! That is very interesting. I've got so many questions. How old are they? Are they very wealthy? Large house/property? Age range of the kids? I'm assuming this is over an extended period, not all at the same time, but either way that takes dedication.

I was able to post yesterday using Memmy, and today Voyager worked (all of this was from my instance to Lemmy.world) The error I was getting yesterday would happen when I selected a photo. It would spin and then give the error before I had written the title/text or tried to post. It was like it was failing to fetch the image link from imgur. Thankfully it seems to be working again. Love the app, thanks for all your hard work!
