the solution here is to require logins. thems the breaks unfortunately. it'll eventually pass as the novelty wears off.

the peers approach is the problem, not the ISPs. ISPs can tell your torrenting just from the shape of the traffic.

edit: generally, the claim that the builtin encryption protects the user is essentially misinformation and anyone who follows it is potentially in for a world of hurt.

wat, there is no encryption in bittorrent that will protect you except for a vpn.

no one follow this individuals advice for your own sake.

its literally what financial advisers tell people should be the upper bound for their housing costs and this is for low income individuals. they didnt pull the number from their own rear. so take the small good news were you can.

Ah yes ceasefires. The thing you say you agree to when you want media coverage to go away for a bit.

Protesting is the least useful form of collective action. Dont worry if you cant participate in it directly. Its not materially useful.

What you need to do is organize locally and hold your local reps to the fire. Ensure your local elections are run fairly, etc etc.

Help run info ops for naturalized citizens who are comfortable taking direct action. Gather information and make it publicly available. Could be as simple as locating all the charging stations in your state for example. Or dossiers on particularly disgusting ceos.

Plenty of things you can do without directly exposing yourself.

😂 nonsense. Most of the drama came from the maintainers being foolish not the bcachefs devs.

Bcachefs absolutely should be in the kernel atm and is making great progress due to being able to get burned in from the larger user base jow experimenting with it.

Lol this behavior is exactly why i stopped supporting them. They've repeatedly shown they cant be relied on. I dont feel the need to reward them with anymore votes for bad behavior.

Get your party's politicians in line or deal with the continued erroding support and losses.

word connotations have power in public discourse. its part of why languages shift we're constantly attempting to avoid meanings that cause stress.

Partner's prevalence imo (without any study to back this up) is less about gay marriage and more about equality between heterosexual couples. There is a lot of gendered baggage in hetero terminology. Gay marriage and the transition of hetero couples from gendered terms to neutral terms are a correlated phenomenon. Basically they likely have the same underlying cause but one did not cause the other.

My guess is its the acknowledgement of equality between people in relationships and the rejection of government defined roles at the root cause of both changes.

friend you need to learn how to push back against administration processes. you dont do it head on. talk to your friends and get them comfortable with the idea of setting fire to things. this fight is hardly over, its just beginning.

stop blaming russia for what america has done to itself. no one was forced to vote for trump and no one forced harris to run the worst campaign i've seen in 4 decades.

oi, hitting the critical mass of enough users to be interesting, but thankfully not at enough users where it is profitable for them yet. sigh
