I can't find any active film communities. Everyone is racing to secure a niche community but where's the people?

Does it feel like the fediverse is exclusively used by older tech nerds? in c/[email protected]

I can't use old school forums anymore. It's so damn specific and it's limited to power hungry mods and their lackey's. Lemmy seems like a good spot but it's not fully adobted yet. Like the early days of Reddit.

Same I have no clue. I signed up to Lemmy world and can't find any subs that are bigger than 30 people... Hoping they sort the growing issues.

First time poster. I'm on lemmy.world but found not many of my channels like I have on Reddit. How you all find your niche subs that are bigger than 30 people?
