He might have honestly believed that was true. It was always a lie from a realistic perspective but narcissism is weird like that. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he thought he was capable of negotiating peace instantaneously.

The amount of time I spend online is entirely irrelevant to the question at hand. Your focus on that particular point, which I never disputed, is pretty odd. You can find the information I'm referring to in a 30 second Google search which pretty much everyone does on a regular basis for things they care about. The problem is that a good chunk of people don't care enough to find out whether or not they're being lied to by the media they consume. I don't think it's necessary to excuse that level of ignorance but you seem insistent on doing so. That's not being understanding it's justifying idiocy for no good reason.

You don't need to be terminally online to know that Donald Trump is a piece of shit. You're trying really hard to justify intentional stupidity. Empathy is good but you don't need to employ it to the point that you force a reason to let these people off the hook. In fact, I would argue that nothing will change until we all accept our role in educating ourselves. It's not anyone else's job to do that.

Many of them through no fault of their own weren't reached by the message.

That's where we disagree. Media bubbles exist but the internet makes it so easy to find opposing viewpoints that failing to do so should absolutely be considered a personal failure. They'd rather believe a comforting lie than confront the truth and that is how shitty people live their lives.

What makes you think anyone is in danger of losing their job? Red voters vote red every time. If you're saying there should be a limit to how much bullshit they will put up with from their reps then I agree. However, history says there isn't.

I feel better after reading it. I don't know if that makes me a bad person but hey, I'm a person so it counts.

Fuck you WaPo. You helped him win so now you can gargle his balls until you choke on them. Bezos and the rest of the billionaires were fine with the fascism when they thought they could insulate themselves from the fallout. I don't want to hear your complaints now that you're having to deal with tariffs.

State kidnapping charges

Can we add the option to exclude communities and/or posts that are in a different language than our chosen default? I'm guessing filtering communities would be easier than individual posts but I'm not sure how language would be flagged. I understand some people may want to see some of these posts but even multilingual people must be bombarded with posts in languages they don't speak. I'm getting pretty annoyed that half of my feed is stuff I can't read.

I've looked through the settings multiple times but I suppose it's still possible this already exists and I just missed it.
