I’m just a lurker in these things, but it seems to me that what you need is a way to find YouTubers who don’t want to be paid, who think their message is important and who don’t rely on video revenue. Who seek new communities to grow their audience.

Religion of all types fit this bill. Especially the aggressive sects of Christianity, Islam and Hindu . Especially the nationalist sects

Cool theory. But should not work if the universe is much larger than what can be seen though? Unless it’s just our visible part of the universe is rotating in a mind boggling large structure? And why not? All matter clumps, and a huge universe should have countless structures that are the size of all we know

I think it’s healthy for admins to defederate, for whatever reason, from their choice of other instances.

If this is not done enough, then we will end up with few instances dominating the ebb and flow of discussion and content. And making it difficult for voices to be heard.

If done too much, and there are many tiny clusters of communities, there are social forces that will make many of these network closer.

If we did this more, it will break the monopoly of the large instances we see today, and better things can grow

I think conditions have improved, but look worse because things have improved. I know that makes no sense.

Many jails have horrible things done to people. But due to the various reforms and court actions, many but not all places have more transparent reporting while having small improvement.
