Clean steam files are game files that are unmodified from steam. This means that they will not open because they will check if you own the game on steam.

In order to fix this, you need to crack the game. One way to do this with games that only use steam DRM, is to use goldberg emulator. You can find instructions on cs.rin.ru or in the goldberg repo.

Cs.rin.ru is considered safe. Although it is technically possible for someone to upload a virus, as far as I know it hasn't happened yet.
Very good, I would recommend torminatorr (specifically LinuxRulez repacks) to any beginner.
Try using bottles instead of lutris, it generally works better for me.

As a former Arch user, Fedora has been so amazing for me. It's so rock solid and simple to use. It also has great software compatibility because lots of software is distributed as rpm due to businesses using CentOS and RHEL.
