TTeck (Proxmox Helper Scripts) has passed away. R.I.P. (github.com)

After he notified the community that he is in hospice care a few weeks ago, his wife has now notified the community that TTeck, the founder of the Proxmox Helper Scripts, has sadly passed away.

The project has been transferred to the community earlier so the Proxmox Helper Scripts as TTeck's legacy will live on.

Only a few people have contributed so much to Open Source as his scripts were a gateway for a lot of people who then ventured into self hosting an then onwards into an IT career.

Interesting. I will give it a look. I am not noticing the same thing so it might have been something transient. Perhaps things needed to sync. This was something I remember from earlier Lemmy releases but I haven't seen it in quite some time. Thanks for letting us know.

That is correct, it isn't available immediately but a week or so is normal. Upgrades are tested somewhat separately from fresh installs and they get released after the tests pass.

I questioned the headline too. I sure hope it isn't normal but the second half of that acronym does seem accurate.
