They're not fascist. Certainly they're authoritarian, but I don't think any fascist governments have stood.

My faith in the judicial system is the highest it's been since February.
There really isn't anyone who can step in when the ultra wealthy are fucking up. It's hard enough for us poors with no power anyway, but Ye has enough money that he can do what he wants.
If he wants help he can afford it, but of he doesn't there's no rock bottom for him.
Doesn't seem like the worst choice anyway. If it fits their meds and helps them divest. But idk how European the OS itself is either.

I won't deny that "On Tyranny" takes a liberal perspective and assumes that liberalism is the goal. But it's an excellent short read and worthwhile on it's own merits from an anti fascist perspective.
It's also worth reading because it's very accessible to liberals, many of whom have realized that the fascism we've been talking about is real and is really here.

There's one written but it's not functional right now
I've stopped using goodreads, but haven't switched to bookwyrm yet. I'm using the lack of import from goodreads as an excuse to keep procrastinating.
He had very consistently been on the side of improving life for people. He's thinks that people deserve to eat and to have a place to live and to receive medical care. He thinks that the government should generally allow people to do what they want if it's not hurting others.
He had rarely deviated from that and to my knowledge has never deviated from that for Americans.
They've put a lot of effort into convincing us that it's was only peaceful protests that were effective in the civil rights era. IDK if they were really peaceful but at the time they were certainly called violent.
And the government made sure to make white people genuinely afraid of violence.
