Depends on age I think. All my 40+ year old friends have large DVD collections, as well as some in their 30s. I could see people younger than 30 not giving a shit about physical media. Personally I would go physical over digital.

Pre-google youtube only existed for a year and it wasn't that great. What I miss is the early Google era. 2007-2010
Episodes (starring Matt LeBlanc as himself) is very much up this alley. It's a show about two British TV writers adapting their big BBC hit for American TV. It's also one of the more underrated shows out there, I don't see a lot of people talking about it and frankly it's excellent.

The prequels killed SW for me and TFA/TLJ brought my love for the series back. And then TRoS killed it again.
It's all relative, we all take different things out of these movies. I don't think you're wrong for enjoying the prequels but man I couldn't disagree with you more that they're good movies.
