Always be wary of people who are angered by facts.

"We can't succeed without breaking the law. We can't succeed without operating unethically."

I'm so sick of this bullshit. They pretend to love a free market until it's not in their favor and then they ask us to bend over backwards for them.

Too many people think they're superior. Which is ironic, because they're also the ones asking for handouts and rule bending. If you were superior, you wouldn't need all the unethical things that you're asking for.

What can we do to keep it like this forever?

Good point. The other important difference is that on Lemmy you can jump to a different server. Once you get banned on Reddit, that's it.

Who is downvoting this?!

Add Google to that.

Don't the body scanners allow them to see you in the nude? I thought I read an article about this years ago.

So much talent locked up in big tech. I wish they would all unionize and also leave and launch open source startups.

This looks really interesting, but I have so many questions. A few important ones that come to mind immediately:

  1. What is the user agent that's reported? I'm guessing Firefox, but if there are any indicators that would give it away it's not Vanilla Firefox or a popular fork, this could make you more unique.
  2. Are the mods publicly identifiable? Another thing that might make you very unique and prone to fingerprinting.

A core part of being private online is blending in with traffic, so using a niche browser like Zen (depending on the configuration) would make you stand out.

The product looks good, and the privacy policy is pretty good too. Still, it'd be good to understand all the aspects of how Zen prevents you from standing out in the crowd.

I don't know if you or someone else can speak to this. I would jump into their community, but it's on Discord, so that's absolutely not happening.

Cool. Use Signal.

I get your point, but there's levels to it. It's a scale, and OpenAI is on that top part of the scale.

Just because one system does it far more aggressively doesn't mean it shouldn't be scrutinized and equated to less invasive systems.

Friend gave me access to his Adobe account (I'm never giving Adobe money again), and it looks like they don't even support Firefox. That means I'm not using even the one remaining browser-based Adobe service that's left.

Adobe forcing you to use Chrome instead of Firefox to use their service

Anytime I try to upload images using Photon (desktop), I get this error. Any idea what it means and why this is happening?
